Procedure

Read fully before acting.
  1. A degraded pool is not an outage — do NOT power-cycle a NAS with a resilver in progress.
  2. Check pool status and identify the failed drive by serial before replacing anything.
  3. Confirm the offsite copy on GWSCLI/S3 is current before any destructive pool operation.
  4. If the pool is unrecoverable, restore order is: configuration -> databases -> media.
